The Vankor field is a perspective oil and gas field in Krasnoyarsk Krai of Russia; it is included to Vankor Cluster together with Lodochnoe, Tagulskoe and Suzunskoe fields.
Design period of filed operation is 35 years. Design capacity of the pipeline makes about 30 million tons per year, as of August 2009 the expected total proceeds from the project makes 80 billion USD.
In total 425 operational wells will be drilled, 307 of them are horizontal wells. Oil from the field is planned to be supplied to the Far East via ESPO pipeline. In the second half of 2009 the Vankor-Purpe pipeline which is 556 km long and 820 mm in diameter was put into test operation. This pipeline connected the field with Transneft main oil pipeline.
Specialists from the entire country, considerable part of them were from Bashkortostan, were involved to development, operation and maintenance of the field.
